i am trying to see if anyone is running a blazer with 4" of lift and 42's. i have a 74' with the 4" tuff country front springs and ORD shackle flip in the back and plenty of fender trimming. I know it can fit 39.5" easy but i am not sure on the 42"s. can anyone help me out.i might get some 0-rate 1" add-a-leafs so 5" of lift.

You will either have to move the front axle forward, or really beat in the footwell area.

As said, you have to deal with the fire wall, but it can be done. I've got 42s and 4" of lift. My front axle if 2" forward, and I still had to remove the pinch weld and hamer in the "points" of the fire wall to get clearance. Forget inner fenders, and I just ditched the fenders too. You'll also have to basically remove everything in the back and tub it (or leave it open).

Do you have any pictures? I am wanting to lift my '78 K10 pickup 4" and try to fit 38's under it. I would like to see how you trimmed the fenders to make it fit.

I knew about the rear but i wasn't sure on the front, thanks for explaining how.

cj7jeep81-i dont have a digital camera or a scanner, i will get with a friend to see if he has one, but basically i took a sawzall and grinder, and cut everything i didn't want. it has some rust, but it is a trail only vehicle. so appearance takes second to function.

Ok, thanks. I wasn't sure if I would be able to make it fit with just cutting, or if I would have to move the axle or do major work on the firewall.

i can fit the 39.5" tsl with the 4" lift and fender hacking, but i am not afraid to use the sawzall.:)

probably take a bit of hacking the firewall, did it to mine to fit 44's with 6 inches of very flexy lift so you should be ok

it looks like he has 6"-7" of lift, but how is he running the F-150 springs with no sort of anti-wrap setup on the rear. i'll talk to him,
thanks.

This may be a dumb newbie question, but would there be any major differences related to lift and fitting larger tires between a K5 and K10 pick-up? My truck is a step-side with a short bed. Also 76k5blazer, is your truck the green one I have seen on here in other threads?

I put 42's on a blazer with a 4" lift and agressive fender trimming ... I used a 20 lb sledge on anything that stuck out on the firewall and used only 9.75 wide with max backspacing and aside from rubbing the framerail with the inner sidewall in the front I actually had NO rubbing ( did the custumary high speed ditch blasting test) I have pics but would hafta get scanner hooked up ...... hmmmm or maybe tak pic of pic with digi
