I dunno if these are really progress pics, cause I suck at bodywork, but I'll post some anyway.

There was a TON of rust cutout and new steel welded in, but unfortunately I dont have any pictures of that. It was also smashed in from the side.

Here is the lip that I made to add stiffness after I cut the overhang off.

Here is one side welded in. Kinda messy now, but I'll clean it up. It's also going to be undercoated so that'll clean it up.

Here is the passenger side with a little bondo work done. It's starting to look better.

and the other side. I started it today. very ugly, but it'll get there eventually. I'm VERY new to welding so dont laugh if my welds are ugly. :)

by the way, I'm not building this cruiser to be a hardcore 4x4. I'm getting another one that going to be strictly for wheeling. This is going to be my daily driver.

A ton of rust in California that is :) There is a big difference than your kind of rust I'm sure.

Great job!

I think the welds look great.

Keep posting pics. I envy guys that can fix sheetmetal. All I can do is destroy it.

I would say you'r bodywork looks totally decent. When its said and done it's gonna look sweet.the welding on the sheet metal looks good.I have a thing with either burning lots of hols or warping. So be happy and when its done you will have learned a lot and you can do mine:D

Damn Andrei, looking good. I am truly impressed. I am cutting up my body as we speak, and you are fixing one. Tooo funny. Come on by one of these days, and we can hook up and talk shop.

I'm using a Lincoln 110 Mig with .25 wire and argon. It is set on the B setting and wire speed is around 6 for those who have a similar welder. I tell ya, I'm having a blast working on the truck, even though the bondo is tedious I'm gonna have to do 3 or 4 passes until I get it right.

Dima, I'll definitely stop by sometime. I'm thinking the drivetrain swap will happen some time in July. Maybe like the 20th or so? I'm going to need your help, but don't worry, you won't leave empty handed. How does a case of Fat Tire sound? :D
