What have you guys done in the way of tow hooks for the front of your 94-02 dodges? Besides getting the extremely expensive option?

I really like my extreamely expensive ones from the dealer. They are very stout and fit perfectly on the front of my 97. They came with all the proper hardware and took about 1/2 hour to install. I looked at different options before i got them but didn't find anything i really liked. Good luck on finding something..

well what i am working on right now is a 2 1/2" wide 1/4" thick plate with one bend in it using all the mounting holes of the stock tow hook mounts only i am going to use a weld on d ring instead of a hook. What do you think?

wont work, it might straighten out that bend right away and snap off the piece and the d-ring making for a nice dent in your buddies rig that'll cost more than the option. just my .02...........

The bend wraps around the frame and bolts on both the side and bottom of the frame. I will be trying a pair out ;)

Here's my solution... Draw-Tite front receiver. I think this is the "BEST" solution because not only was it inexpensive compared ($116) to kits or super-heavy-duty, cool custom front bumpers... It attaches to the frame in 4 different point across both frame rails. Loads spread evenly.

Has safety chain loops on either side and the 2" box receiver in the middle. In the pic, the 2" box has a "skid" with a ramp. Bump up and over an obsticle.
I've since replaced the factory bumper with a Hansen, but still use the receiver for recovery.
