These should give you a good idea.

My axles are out of a scout and are 58" wide, which are the same as the narrowtrack Wagoneer. The Waggy front is about 1" wider than a Scout.

Its Geocities Crap basically just go to File new Window and cut and paste SS there it will work .. the jeep is Green

Also I think he just ment throwing them under there.. other wise I do not think he would want to see pics on how wide they would be if he was just gonna cut dem up !

here is crappy pic of mine.. running waggy width axles.. with 35x12.5 tires.. on 15x8" rims.. with 4" of backspacing.. and 6" extended flares.. my tire sticks out about 2" at the widest point... middle of tire.. tread is about 1" out... so its street legal here... until i put the boggers on...
wagoneer axles are about 2" wider than scouts.. mine are roughly 63" wheel mount to wheel mount.. my friend runs a waggy and a scout.. and the scout is about an 1" narrower on each side.. not too noticeable unless you are looking straight at it.. and for it..

Not the best angles, but approx. 61" (wms to wms) wide waggy front
35 x 12.5 ssr's on 15 x 10 wheels w/ 4 in. backspacing. I think 60 to 63 inches wide is just right for a jeep.

This is about all I have for now. I'll have to dig thru some of my build up pics and scan them. These are kind of dark, taken in the evening. Hope it helps.

Those meats only have about 1000 miles on them. I think its just the way they look in the photo, I had to tweak it a bit cause it was shot at night. But the SSR's dont really have the tread depth of an SX to begin with.

I converted to 5 lug with the ford hub, like posted above, I have the scout II in the rear w/ perf. wheel and tire billet spacers to even things up.

That would be the first obstacle if you want to call it that on the Rubicon.

We made that steering setup.
Mike and I bought some tubing borrowed some taps bought some 3/4 ton rod ends and drank some beer.

After it was all said and done we stood back and said damn next time I'm just gonna but the tie rod

Tapping the tie rods was a bit of a chore.
