i screwed up my tranny {its been a long time comeing}today...
ive never changed a zook tranny before .....i was shocked as shell to see myself install it with one arm i just lifted it into position with my left arm and pushed it forward with my right arm and 30 seconds later the bell housing bolts were going in......
it took about 3.5 hours from start too finish ......i love these little fawkers to death ......they brought back the joy of twisting wrenchs for me.................................

Look anything like this? I keep killing 5th. Two times - each trans improperly built by me, tho.

3rd time is the charm? I went with a known-good used tranny this time, but swapped cases so to keep the modified-for-diesel case.

It took an afternoon - I should have done it ahead of time so I could have been wheeling with the locals at the Meet-n-Greet that day.
But I agree, it is nice to work on a little bitty tranny when it comes time to install. I hope to adapt to a toyota next though.

I also had to fix my broken Keltec motor mount at the same time, so it coulda' been faster.

I swapped mine the other night, drove in 2 hours later I drove out. That included screwing with the damn 1.6 adapter plate.
