Door Down 09-13-2001, 12:14 PM Just put the 4:1 gears in my YJ 4.0/999/300 and witht he 38's and 4:56's this baby doesnt like to stop in the ugly spots. How do you lower the idle? Yes I have taken the throttle body off and turned the screw down until the AIC motor now sets the idle. I cleaned the throttle body and put a new gasket in. This did drop the idle a bit, but would love to get another 200 or so RPM out of it. Any suggestions???? I bought mine used like everything else I own but it does work good for either raising or lowering your idle speed. Also, works well for cranking up the idle with my onboard air.
