I just picked up some 8 lug, are they a metric patteren? From a 99 dodge. aluminum all caps ect. in the 16" size. Anyone know how far off these are compared to a standard 8 lug? Has anyone ever just drilled then to a bigger hole and had them fit? Anyone interested in them? trade or cash:) 4 tires 20% or so too. I grabed them for a friends 73 2wd, but since they seem to be METRIC, he can't use them:(
THX!

Dodge hasn't gone metric yet to my knowledge... 99 is definatly the old 8x6.5" (my 2000 was) The nasty problem with the dodge wheels is the backspacing, they have rediculous amounts of offset. I don't see how they wont line up though, I'd think they'd hit a caliper or control arm or something first.

Dodge is still 8 on 6-1/2. I forget why, but the newer style aluminum rims from the 2500s will not fit my '97 (not sure if these are the ones you have or not, I know my buddy's '01 has the rims that won't fit mine).

Also, it is possible to modify the Superduty Ford rims (8 on 170 mm hub centric) to fit the traditional 8 on 6-1/2 lug-centric pattern. Performance wheel and tire (whose used rims suck, btw) modified a set of stock Ford rims thats on a friend's '92 Dodge.

Thx, that's some good tech. I sold them to my buddy for his 72 3/4 ton 2WD, he has some newer steel styled chromes that look similar to these on there before off late model dodge.

Back spacing is double, like 6" or 7", sold them. but 16" they might have cleared the calipers
