Greetings,

While installing my new All-Pro Springs this afternoon I realized that I don’t know which way should be the front? They are All-Pro 5” stock length front springs for an 84 Toy pickup. They have a double wrap on one end and I don’t know if that is the front or rear of the spring.

Thanks for the help,

Jason

So Jason, I take it you dont want those rears anymore? :( Or are those the fronts?

These are the fronts... I still need rears :)

Yup. The military "double" wrap goes on the fixed mounting end. That way if the main leaf breaks, the double-wrapped second leaf will still locate the axle with the fixed frame mount. :)

I'm interested on an update...how do they ride now that you've got them switched over?

I'm debating within myself on the whole 44044, AllPro stock length or AllPro longer springs for my 4Runner.

Are the longer ones that much better than the stock length ones?

Thanks...

I just got back from my first trip on the Con with the new springs this past weekend. They worked great! I was so used to my old stiff set up that I thought I was driving a whole new truck! The springs worked so well that I destroyed both front fenders from the 35” boggers tearing at them as well as the firewall!! I wouldn’t be able to tell you if the longer then stock ones are better or not, but the stock length ones worked just fine for me. I need to cut both fenders and possibly tub the firewall before my next trip in 2 weeks.
