: Interview Attire part II

Well,
had the interview last night. Went ahead & tried to clean myself up. Drove my truck to work as it's easier to change in than the sub-compact. Put on the nice shoes, slacks, nice shirt & tie. Skipped the jacket. Combed my hair, but was kind of a lost cause (I have to wear a hat at work). Managed not to lose much time. Got off work right at 3:30, was at the interview at 3:40 (less than a 1 mile drive).

Thought the interview went well. I was the first one they saw, which is usually not bad (always want to be first or last so they remember ya LOL). The job has a real variety of responsibilities from spreadsheets, to Inventory Control, to purchasing, to filling in on a forklift - all of which I've done at some point in my career. So, I think I might have a leg up on some of the other candidates by knowing ALL the functions of the job already.

Money is good, not great. Basically splits the difference between what I was making in St. Louis & what I'm making now (about $10k better than now, about $10k less than I once made). Considering the lack of a commute, I can probably live with that kind of salary.

Small company - only 47 total employees. My current employer has over 20,000 & the one before that had 2,500. So, completely different feel from what I'm used to. $25 million a year in sales though, so not too shabby for a small company. I have a friend there too, so hopefully that'll bode well for me.
