Hey guys, got the 40's in yesterday. What width wheel are you guys running? I'd like to run on of Daniels wheels but they are only available (at this point) in 8" or 12" and the tire is 13.5" wide. What do you guys think?

Why won't they work on a 12" wheel?

Too wide? That's what I'm asking, to see what others are running and how well it's working for them.

I would say run the 12" if they're beadlocks.
Seems like you'd get a better footprint/contact patch.
EDIT: This is based on my 12.50" TSLs I've got on 8" wide wheels.
The tire seems to round up a little more than the same on a 10".
The benefit for me is to be able to run LOW psi on the trail w/out beadlocks. So I'm saying run a wider wheel if you've got beadlocks, and at least keep the center tread from wearing down first. Hell... I know nothing. :flipoff2:

Seems like the 12" wheels will get pounded from exposure. Is anybody running the MTR with an 8 or 12" wheel?

go with the 8. even if it is a beadlock. a 12 is way too wide for a 13.5 in my opinion. ever seen those guys running 33x12.5' on a 10 inch wide wheel? looks really silly in my opinion, the tire actually bows in on the top (it looks concave), unless you run a ton of pressure, and less pressure is better, right?

Just remember the 12" rim will move the tread out 2" wider each side, and you may need to compensate for that some where else.
