Well I'm new to the zuk forum so let me have it :flipoff2:
I sold my 4runner and have aquired a zuk not sure what year it is but its go the fold down front windshield tack ect.
I've got toy axles for it with 5.29s and detroits.
I'm going to stretch it not sure to what but probably around 100" wheel base. Going to be front and rear coil sprung or maybe rear 1/4 epp (I like airzuk's air bag setup hmmmm...). Also I have 36" tsl sx's to go on it. I know the stock motor ain't goin to do it for me so heres my first question.
Whats the best motor tranny tcase to put in?
I'm thinking toy 22re trnny and dual cases (just cuz thats what I know) what are some other easy to do build my own stuff kinda swaps?

And hey lets see some pics to get my mind thinking zuki style.

yep sounds about right but the real question was what are you guys doing for motors ect pros /cons heard lots obout the newer 1.6 8valves ect but not enough to base a decision
hell maybe I'll try a chevy smallblock sm420 and dual toys but I'm opened minded and just want to know the usual roots in making my sami get it with the best of em. I'm  when it comes to sami's. but sure will enjoy the smaller body wheeling in the forests of BC

Hey, my first post here, so watch out!

Most folks put 1.6 tracker engines in Sammys to give them a boost. Mazda Rotaries are another choice. I have heard of 2300 fords being stuffed into them... The VW 1.9 turbodiesel conversion is about to make a return via Glenn Wakefield's Rocky-Road Outfitters in a couple of months. Heck I've seen a 400 ci chevy V8 stuffed into one!

Each has it's problems and advantages.

The first thing I would do is run what you got. You'd be suprised what a stock samurai can do. Even more suprised with it lifted a bit.

Once you get to know your Samurai you can decide better what you want.

Me, I'd wait for the VW turbodiesel kit to become available again. It's cheap, parts are easy to find and it has a lot of low end torque!

Finally, it's time to plug my ZookiMelt 2001 video... Check out the video trailer at :

http://members.home.net/nehsoft/melt01trailersite.html

It's over an hour and a half of professionally presented Suzuki samurai/Kick/Tracker wheeling from the ZookiMelt 2001 gathering at the Badlands ORV park in Attica, IN. All for $15.95 plus $3.00 shipping and handling.

Thank you and good night.

most people put in the 1.6L out of sidekicks, trackers, ect. but the 1.3L if in good running order with the right gears will work for ya.......personally i'd go with the 1.6L carbed.......i'm not into the EFI shit yet, but my engine is still stock, with a different carb
