I have a chance to buy a 79 Ford 350 4x4. It's a high pinion frontend, V8, 4spd, single wheel. It runs and drives but is fairly clapped out. I know just enough to get me in trouble. Anyone have an idea what the specs should be on this thing assuming it hasn't been changed? Any idea what might be worth. I'm only interested in it for the running gear for another project. Thanks.

It should have a high pinion D60 front and a D70 rear

60 Front, 70 Rear. The engine will either be a 351M or 400M, and I believe the tranny is a NP435. T-case will be an NP205. These are as stout of components as have ever been put in a light truck.
