89 to 95 would be safe for 5.13 or 4.62. They changed the ratio again but not sure what year? Anyone know??? I have 5.13 in my rig right now with 32 inch tires. I did the 92 efi swap and it goes about 100kmh =(60mph) and revs about 3800 to 4000 rpm.

Is it safe to bet that the 5:13 are manual and 4:63 are from automatic

Yep. You asked the same question on the izook board. 5.13= standard and 4.62= auto. You need the tube and spacer. I know www.breezeindustries.com sells them.

Does the tracker come stock with the lower gears?
Why not swap the whole rear axel?

probably could except I dont feel like cutting off all my 5.5 spring
perches and track-bar mount etc. but I suppose it can be done.
just need the gears to finish the job:smokin: :D :smokin: :D

The rear axle is wider then the front stock sammy axle. The front tracker is ifs.

For this swap, can I use the Tracker rear axle gears too, or are they different? I mean, do I have to get two front gearsets, or can I get one front and one rear?

I realize the front gears would have fewer miles on them, but if I come across a set of rear gears for cheap, I'd like to use them if they'll fit.

Thanks!!!

No. The rear gears don't fit. You will need two front sets.
The one will bolt right up, the other you will have to set the gears up in the sami carrier. If you plan on ever getting a front locker, swap the front gears too.

Im going to be doing this swap and found that yes the front is just a drop in, but recommend you put everything back into your old cast 3rd member. trackers did not have the oil pasage to the front pinion bearing which could cause premature failure I'm talking about the front diff consdering you can get the spacer and sleeves cheap enough keep your stock member if the front.
