I 3rd the steel rusty block claim...

I had two registered civil engineers with me. They dont wheel but they just gagged at the site. It aint brick. Clay brick would shatter (too brittle) if not when tightened then on the first bump in the road.

The point loading around the perch would cause immediate failure with any significant applied force.
