i have always wanted a scout and have loved the size of the 80/800 series stuff, and i just stumbled upon this on ebay. its only an hour or so away from me.

do you think its saveable without *too* much effort? body and frame concern me most- i have another drivetrain for it (350/465/205/44/60) but i was wondering what you guys thought.

how expensive are good condition doors? it looks like this would need new ones. the body tub doesnt look terrible- but of course the rear tailgate looks kinda fawked?

anyways let me know if you think its worth the $250 i could probably get it for. and also, let me just say that i call dibs on it, so no scalping me over this fawkers :flipoff2:

thanks

Looks cool to me, and a tittle to boot!!

Doors aren't too hard to find, and if its a wheeling rig, you probably won't use them. Most repair panels are avaliable in one form or another. With the I6 thats in it (AMC 258, just like Heeps), you could also go with a comon CJ drivetrain, or efi 4.0L, but the combo you have isn't bad :D

Sounds like a good deal, get it as cheap as you can and then have fun with it. It will probably be rustier than the guy thinks/says, but so what.

whats your intentions with it???

Looks good to me. The body WILL have rust... Something which you rover guys know nothing about. :flipoff2:

What are you planning in the way of capability? I'd keep that pretty Series of yours the way it is and build this up as my "drive it like you stole it" rig. Mods are easy too, because the 80/800's are so basic.
