I've imported a Dodge camper van to England, and I think the registration people here have got it wrong.

On The Texas Certificate I've got its
Model Year 1992
1St Lien Holder - Metropolitan Federal Bank
Date of Lien 06/13/1993
1st Lien released 09/15/2002

I took that to mean that the vehicle was first registered on 13th June 1993, but is that the date of first registration in Texas, or the date of first registration ever ?

In the UK the registration is given on the date of first registration, and obviously its better to have a 93 vehicle than an 92 when it comes to resale time etc.

Thanks for you time.

The 13th June 1993 would be the first day it was purchased. Basically, when whoever (if it was you or someone else) took the loan out for the vehicle, that's when the lien took effect. It should've been registered within 30 days of that though, so you're looking at latest date of first registration being 13th July 1993 (in theory).

That should be correct.
