Im building up a new rig within the next year, and wondered if i would be able to do barrett lake with ether a 44/9" combo or dana 60/60 or 60/70 combo? Will i fit? :emb:

I took my Scout through that gate a couple of years ago and with 2 inch wider axles and 36x14.5s it was rubbing both sides...and about halfway through I saw a couple of flattys on fullwidths, so go figure. I dont know how they got past the gate witout walking over it but they were in there.

About 84 is as wide as you can go and fit through.

We measured between the posts last time up and it's right at 87 inches wide. However, that doesn't take into consideration the lock device on the left side at the top of the pole. It sticks out several inches so if you have tall tires, but otherwise would make the 87 inches, you're still screwed cause the tire will catch on the lock mechanism. It's actually part of another pole, welded on so you can't move it. I didn't think to measure the height of the lock. My old Willys had full width 77 Wagoneer axles and 36" SX's and I squeaked through without any trouble.

Let's see if this pic works. It was when I had the 35" Baja Claws on (which measure more like 33")...
