I have a rear Dana 44 that will be a direct bolt in for a Tj wrangler. it has 3.73 gears, rear disc breaks, coil buckets and controll arm mounts. came out of a 97 cherokee.

I want 1200 for it. Price does not include shipping. Would rather not ship but if you do the leg work I will deliver it to a place to ship. I live in the CA bay area.

just a heads up if it is from a grand cherokee and it is an AL housing, takes different gears/lockers compared to a normal dana 44

That is DEFINITELY an aluminum D44 from a V8 equipped ZJ, the tell tale sign is the rubber fill plug AND the somewhat rounded diff cover..

those are C-clipped D44's, that use specialized gearsets and carriers, there currently are NO lockers available for them, and they have relatively weak aluminum housings..

sorry for the bad news, but that rearend is worth about 250-300

find some sucker with a ZJ that busted his D35, it is a slight upgrade, maybe......

Dude WTF:flipoff2: you have no I dea what these are worth. the aluminum tj 44 goes for over $1000 this one happens to have disc breaks. I am not 100% sure on this particular axle but a d44 has never been c clip.

Please keep your B.S. comments to yourself:flipoff2:

The TJ 44 is not aluminum. The only Jeep with an aluminum 44 is the ZJ.

He degergram......I own a ZJ that had that rearend in it..

I have been building and modding ZJ's for a long time, AND I own a aftermarket parts company, that specializes in ZJ's...

and by the way...the tubes are steel...you are misinformed

the center section is cast aluminum, is uses the gearset that is the same as a corvette and a viper.. which has an odd sized pinion gear and bolt pattern, so normal D44 gears will NOT work, in addition it uses a crush sleeve for pinion preload.

there are NO lockers available for it...the housings have a bad tendency to spin both pinion and carrier bearings, because they heat up AND loosen up around the races.

ANd, that ZJ D44 is c-clipped, so you are wrong again...just pull the f**n diff cover and look in there...

AND it is NOT a direct bolt in for a TJ, the bracket positions are all different, AND the coil buckets are different.

:flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

so why do you go back to the drawing board, instead of getting in an arguement over something you obviously dont know anything about...

I am not trying to dis you, just letting you know that is not a normal D44 that is found in the back of a TJ...trying to save you alot of headache if you sell it to a guy expecting it to be a TJ rearend... or a normal D44..
