How far is too far to travel?
Im flying from central Ca to Austin Tx and driving mine back.Oh yeah Im going to buy a trailer on the way back.Saving about $300 on the trailer.
99 F350 7.3,6spd,duelly 4x4 45,000 miles for $24,500

I just got the same thing but many more miles and no dually for $9500...you make the call:D:D:D

two good friends in the last year have bought used diesel 4x4s off of ebay from dealers in Texas, and flew down from central Illinois to pick them up and drive them back home. they both saved a few thousand $$ doing it this way. Diesels up here are higher in resale than in Texas for some reason.

i just recently flew to Tacoma,WA from SF to pick up a 01'Dodge w/cummins/6 spd for a pretty smokin' deal.

I bought my '99 4x4 PSD dually on Ebay from Texas and drove it back to Connecticut. You're not crazy. I saved 4K easily over a local truck and it was rust free to boot!!! :beer: :beer:

so you have a 99 7.3 F350 4x4 6 speed? how many miles and is it a early or late 99 model?

yes, thats what I just bought...and it is a late 99 (built in 8/99) oh yeah, its a supercab too:D high miles as in 240K but thats fine with me...I know these trucks can take it plus I am able to take out a lot more money if I need to get my engine rebuilt;) I'm happy with my buy:D:D:D
