I don't normally hang out over here, usually on the Toyota board, but I have a question that I'm sure you guys can help with. I have installed a ZZ4 into my Toy. I have most everything hooked up but the Alternator and exhaust. The question I have deals with alternators with the 3 wire plug. I need some info on which wire does what. To further complicate things, the pigtail that I have for my alternator has only one color wires, all black. So if you have a wiring diagram and can check or know the function of the wires then please let me know in the following order, large wire, wire next to large wire, last wire furthest from the big wire. Thanks in advance for any help.

Bigguy- Bummer about the all black wiring. I can't help you with that. But I would think that you would have better luck with your question in the toyota and landcruiser forum. I would ask the tech guru's that have done multiple toyota-chevy conversions.

The only reason that I saw this post in the chevy forum is because I too am looking for information on how to wire my GM alternator into my 70' cruiser. I feel your pain. It is the last thing that I have to hook up for the swap to be completed. Anyways. Good luck. I'll reply if I find anything out.
