: crick falls when we going
Mudpuppy 11-25-2001, 07:29 AM Hey I was wondering if there are any plans for another run up in Schotdale? I am off on the weekend of the 8th & 9th of December. I don't know the trails enough to lead but would sure like to go for another ride though.
coachgeo 11-25-2001, 10:28 AM I heard the 9th is the toy for tot run or something.
me and launch may meet up around then to look into some projects... Maybe we meet at Crickfalls?
Welby 11-25-2001, 10:40 AM You guys gotta go to toys for tots. It's a blast :D....Can be slow going though, with as many people that go. Think last year there had to be between 55 and 70 rigs..
Mudpuppy 11-25-2001, 10:50 AM no body knows anything about the toys for tots run. I just looked at the triangle web page and all that it says it info coming. I went on the run 2 years ago and would go this year if I had info but if it does not shape up I would like to go wheelin somewhere. I don't get many weekends off
:( :crybaby2:
Welby 11-25-2001, 10:51 AM I hope the details get sorted out soon. It would suck to not go. Kind of getting to be a tradition!
launch_it 11-25-2001, 06:51 PM i would go to the falls. i want to get my ifs up that creek bed where the jeeps :barf:
Flatbed 11-27-2001, 02:59 PM Hey guys, talked to launch today and I'm in for the falls.:D , Hey Mark, wanna see a Crazy ass newbie try that hill? open/open but I will be sure bring my lead boot for the gas peddle. If Launch is on top looking and giving me the POR salute, FAWK IT, gotta try it :flipoff2: Looking forward to it man. :D :smokin:
Mudpuppy 11-27-2001, 03:35 PM Well like I said if the toys for tots comes through I will probably do that run but if not I would rather do this run. ONe thought is I am sure the tot run is on sunday so if evryone wanted we could go on Saterday Just an option. Hey belly you up for this run? You can ride with me if you want. Also how about badass you fixed yet?:jeep: :smokin: :flipoff2:
launch_it 11-27-2001, 03:44 PM its not a good idea to go on sat it is deer season. i dont want to fawk any body off that has a high powered rifel. also part of that trail is on game lands and im not into paying fines! better stick with sunday:D
Mudpuppy 11-27-2001, 04:14 PM very good point  I never even thought about that. I don't like to kill them but I will eat em if some one gives me soem deer :D I figure I love steaks too but I have no urge to go kill the cow. I am still bumming out about a robbin I shot 35 years ago :flipoff2: But if anyone has any extra deer I would live to eat it.
badassjeepguy 11-27-2001, 04:57 PM hey, even if there is no toys for tots "official" run triangle is still goin up to do our own.... we will be accepting toys and will give them to a local marine reserve unit.....
Mudpuppy 11-27-2001, 05:32 PM where are you going for your run and is it going to cost me 5 bucks again to go? I nkow I would need a toy but do I need to pay to go on the run too?
flimmy 11-27-2001, 05:33 PM I'm out for the 9th, the wife is going into the hospital on the 6th for some woman stuff. She maybe home by then but I still won't be able to go. Maybe the following weekend.

actually anyone from the last crickfalls run that ended up to be such a sad experience should be exempted anyway.
As a businessman myself I would have been sitting at the end of the trail that afternoon till the last guy left; applologizing and offering to give each person who paid his money back. Its called supporting your customers.
Hey Coach...:flipoff2:
TRAINGLE four wheelers brake down on every run.. Its come to be expected and wouldn't be the same if we didn't. :D

Only on the five hours of driving to and fro
flimmy 11-29-2001, 06:32 PM Hey Mudpuppy, were you at VD in Latrobe for breakfast today ? I saw a jeep that I think was yours. I was there, did you see the Verizon digger truck ?
Mudpuppy 11-29-2001, 08:09 PM Yeah that was me there. ain't to many with my paint job. I think I might of seen your truck but if I did not know that you were in it I would not of paid a lot of attention. If your with verizion when are you guys going to get me some good phone lines so I can get dsl? :)
flimmy 11-29-2001, 08:27 PM The lines are fine, it's the equipment in the office. They don't have the equipment in alot of the offices for dsl. I live in Scottdale and they don't have it here either. I have a cable modem. I would rather give the co I work for the money but I can't. I was in VD when you were there because I saw your jeep when I left. I was sitting at the round table in the back. The truck was parked when you got there. What other weekends are you off ? I can't go next weekend but anyother weekend you want to go let me know. I would also like to go up there wheelin.
Mudpuppy 11-29-2001, 09:16 PM Iget every 3rd weekend off so next weekend will probably be my last weekend for a while that I will do any wheeling. I get off during the week though
Flatbed 11-30-2001, 05:24 PM Hey Mud, you still up for the Falls the 9th? Hope so, we did not get a chance to BS much on the last run with all the repairs, and waiting and all. Take it easy and hope to see ya next weekend.
Mudpuppy 12-01-2001, 05:00 AM Hey Flatbed, I am up for it if there is not going to be a toy for tots run. As much as I would rather do the crick falls run I think the tot run is for a good cause so if they have one I will go on it. Badass Jeep dude was suposed to be checking inot that. So I guess we will find out this week:emb:
badassjeepguy 12-01-2001, 05:28 AM ahem, check my post on here bout toys for tots..... its awwwn
Mudpuppy 12-01-2001, 05:39 AM I know you said about it being on but I want to know if they are going to charge me 5 bucks to give a toy to the marines:eek:
badassjeepguy 12-01-2001, 05:47 AM read my other post named toys for tots, it says gift for children will forfeit the 5 $
Mudpuppy 12-01-2001, 08:16 AM ok that is the one I was looking for. I will try to fined it now. Any questions and I will ask them on that thread. Thanks
coachgeo 12-02-2001, 09:01 PM anyone going to do Crick Falls instead of Toys 4 tots?
I am a toy for tots.... I do that fer a living.... living..... welllll.... u cant quite call it a living but I love it.... anyway....
If I go wheeling as far away as that area I would want somthing a little more challangeing than what a toys 4 tot run is designed for. Maybe Ill drop a toy off anyway but do a run with some other folk...
Takes me back to my original question.... anyone doing Crick falls instead?
little_joe 12-03-2001, 09:48 AM Any interest in Wellsville for Saturday? The PA Trails are too far for a day trip for me.:(
Flatbed 12-03-2001, 09:49 AM Hey coach, Launch and are going, mabye a couple of others. Launch may be offline a little while, victim of Excite@Home. If you need to know anything PM me. I see hime every day. Take it easy.

coachego............... i think we all got your point! it was one bad run...... ive heard about it enough now, and im sure others have too... triangle has had there share of problems and alot of us new guiys have made many changes and continue to try to make it better. you are more than welcome to attend this or any other event. if you choose not to, its not my loss! im not about to beg you...... you were new to the area and i invited you, told you i was sorry that it went the way it did......... now it is over... if you cant manage to put it behind you then ohhh fawkin well.... fawwk i even told you if i didnt break i would of made you get up thatr last part........ in simple terms......... GET OVER IT! and dont hold a damned grudge , hit some more trails with me this commin season! geeeeeze
and by the way our club is not a business!
coachgeo 12-03-2001, 09:53 PM Well over it..... moved on....
just being a devils advocate.. its a nasty habbit... well meaning.. but nasty...
as to being a business..... U R a business the second u take money! All clubs that do trail runs or... whatever and collect $$ for it are a businesses. Thats a point many fail to realize. Thinking as a business with "customers" at times may help avoid some problems.... agggggg..... there I go doing it again.... being a  advocate.. someone get these damn horns off my head.
Seriously......! Thanks for the invite ! That's one thing I like about wheeling..... you got friends you dont even know u have alllll over the world. Im sure it will be better next time.
I most likely wont make the Toys fer tots.... noooooo Not cause its a Triangle event now! Cause traveling that far on my sometimes only day off a week (I worked 7 days often) makes me prefer one that has challanges more like Crickfalls. Course with all this rain lately Im sure it will be a mud challange on the power line roads.
Keep the rubber down!
Happy Trails.... and glad ur spreading the fun w/ toys fer tots
