I was at the junkyard today scrounging for parts and I came across a TJ that got me thinking. Would a booster from a TJ be the same as the dual diaphram booster from an XJ. I know there is a problem with the rod having to be swapped out of the booster if you want to upgrade to the dual diaphram booster in a earllier model XJ. If I get the booster and all of the pedal brackets behind the firewall would it all bolt up and get me the better booster without any modifications? Also, is it neccisary to swap the master cylider also? Finally, has anyone done this swap on a five speed? I am concerned the booster might not clear the reservoir for the clutch. I tried posting this on the NAXJA board but they are too busy talking about indiglo guages and I thought someone here might be able to help. Any feedback is appreciated.
