I got a free F250 yesterday. It's old and rusty, but runs great, and everything works. The only problem is when I step on the brake pedal, it doesn't return. I have to physically pull it back with my foot. I looked around under there, but could'nt see if there is supposed to be a return spring, or if something else needs attention. It says all the way down, to were the truck won't move until you pull it back out. Thanks for any help! Dennis

If you pull the pedal back and the brakes release it might not be the master cylinder. Get a can of WD40 and squirt the brake pedal linkage. Work it a bit and if that doesn't do it then get a $25 rebuild master cylinder.
