I've tried energy suspension, daystar, and prothane, but none of them have a part listing for the rear spring bushings for an '82 Cherokee. They list up to '79, and then nothing until '86..

Does anyone know of the correct part # for greasable rear spring bushings for an '82 FSJ Cherokee. Is there a difference in the bushings from the '79 model years?

Any help would be appreciated as this is keeping me off the road right now as I didn't anticipate this supply problem before I torched out the old bushings.:nuke: :goofball: :nuke:

try espo. they have good stuff.

www.espo.com

there is no difference between 74 up to 1991 full size jeeps. you could swap Jtrucks spring bushings or waggy bushings if you needed to.

try espo first tho. they're good.

Thanks for the info.

I tried a bunch of local shops, and noone seemed to know anything regarding my year of truck  , The FSJ's always have been the neglected children anyway.

I called ESPO, and they had the bushings and I only had to buy the two bushings I needed rather than a full set like i would have had to if I had been able to buy them through an auto parts store.

End result: 2 bushings cost 10$US plus 9$US shipping, and possibly $5CAN brockerage&duty. Total:about $35CAN

Compared to about $90CAN to buy the full set here if they were avaliable.

Thanks again.

We carry them too, probably in a kit form from Prothane or Daystar. Glad you found them. We have lot's of stuff for FSJ's. It's a regular thing for us.

AAAARRRRGH!!!!!!!!

Bushings finially arrived after a weeks wait, and they are the wrong ones.

I specifically stated the I needed the bushing for the front of the rear spring pack, Frame to spring bushing. I was sent the shackle bushing(shackle to frame). When I called and talked to her, I got.."Well eveyone seems to have trouble finding the shckle to frame bushing, so thats what I thought you wanted when you said attaches the spring to the frame."

On a happy note, She refunded the money, and said not to bother to send the bushings back. So frustrated, but not totally pissed off.

So true!!!

Even though they refunded the money, I am going to buy local, get a whole set of Chev bushings, as they have the size I need in the set, pay $130CDN, and eat the additional cost in order to avoid any further delays.

This is the point people miss a lot of the time, is that usually we need parts NOW!!!! not next week, or in 2 weeks which it would have been if I reordered through ESPO again. I'd rather pay an extra $100 in this case to get back on the road/trail.
