Man,

I had some weird driveline problems today????

I have a rear 1310 CV from Jess that I had modified to work with my new axles. I origionally had it made for my Cruser when I had the Toyota rear axle and the Atlas II.

If you remember, the reason I went with the RC D60 was that my driveline was at 32* with a CV. Now, with the high pinion, I am at a more reasonable 22*.

Well, I had all but destroyed the CV when I took the truck to Sunray for the axles. Tom just "rebuilt" the CV portion of the shaft, saying that it was in damn bad shape, but he would give it a try.

I toasted it today. Big time. Ouch.

Luckily, I had just had Sunray build me a spare non-CV shaft last week when it was out for the drag link work.

I guess I did not seat the U-joint caps into the Yoke very well, because 3 hours later I ripped one of the straps off on the transfer case yoke.

Needless to say, I had no spare.

I think I am going to get Jess to bild me a 1350 shaft. What do you guys run with big tires and big axles?

Here are some goof off shots:

Man when don't you break something....

See that is why you keep the stock axles. That way you are less likely to put your foot into it and break something :D

Very sorry to hear it... It has to be killing ya

THanks Ryan,

I am probably going to upgrade to the 1350 non-CV and keep the 1310 stuff as spares.

Funny you say that, last two times I have been to 360, FT WORTH cops were out there on 4 wheelers getting VIN numbers off stolen/trashed vehicles.

They told me they were not enforcing access at this time and crawled all over my Cruiser checking it out.

As for now it is a free for all.

Exit Valley View and go south until you cross the tracks. Enter at the new warehouse facility.

Jess says go with 1410 Joints and be done with it forever.

I like the way he thinks :)

Whats the max operating angle of that 1410?

35 degrees.

The 1310 I have now is fine onthe road at 15* like I have. He said if I did a 1330 or 1350, I would have to use a CV as they only do 20 degrees.

1410 is the way to go for a non-CV it sounds like...
