Anyone know if a York compressor (for on-board air) will fit on the brackets where the air (smog) pump is now? I am de-smogging the motor (yipee) and wondered whether anyone has any experience placing a York where the air pump used to be. TIA

Tried it couldn't get it to fit. Too close to frame and york was too long. maybe try to refab the mount brackets and get a different belt
I put my York where the factory AC was.
check out www.onboardair.com (http://www.onboardair.com)

www.onboardair.com makes a bracket to mount a york compressor on a 350. that site also has alot of good info for a onboard air setup. I ordered all my fittings and hose from them. Brad is very helpful and will anwser any questions you have.

My york is my factory A/C. Fills a 7 1/2 gallon tank to 150psi in under a minute. Entire setup only cost me about a $150.
