I got the last two parts for my sm420 install today (pilot bearing and throw out bearing sleeve), but I was wondering if anything special needs to be done to the throw out bearing sleeve? As in should I affix it to the front bearing retainer with something like JB weld? Also, I thought I read somewhere that it also needed to be shortened to work with the SM420 becasue it could also be used for a SM465? I may be smoking crack on the last one, but as the parts did not come with any instructions I thought I would ask here. I will also give classic cruisers a call in the morning.
Thanks,
Brian

I also just bought the adapter sleve for my sm420 from Classic Cruisers. I can slid mine by hand so they said to use jb weld to hold it in place. No biggie. As far as shortening it I havn't heard anything about having to. If it does need to be shortened let us know.

Hmmm, I'm gonna have to use http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/images/top_search.gif to remember!!:flipoff2:

EDIT: The length of the sleeve needs to be about 62mm long. Here is some info on Extreme Bends sight on the dimensions.http://www.extremebends.com/sm420/sm420-3.shtml
