I am interested in a traction devoce for the d30 in my ZJ. I have seen some posts recently about issues with the Power Trax No SLip and warranty disputes. This is worriesome for a $400 product. The vehicle is a 96 ZJ 5.2 with a 249 TC and 31's for the trail. I will be installing a 242 in January so I will have the 2wd option.
I am wondering what you guys think of Trac Tech's True Track vs a Detroit locker? I also have converted to the U-297 shafts up front if ti matters. This is a daily driver for me.

Thanks guys & gals!

Well, unless you are running locking hubs in the front 30, I wouldnt go with a full detroit, that could make for a bad combo..and make steering interesting on the street. Im running a lockright up front in my YJ 30, and it hasnt failed me yet.

I disagree. With my front hubs locked in, I can't even tell my lockright is there. I would go for a detroit if you do hardcore stuff and don't run over snow-covered mountain passes regularly.

Cincy-
You will be happy with the Lockright up front. It may click a little while in 2wd when turning but you won't notice any negative affects. I am going to run one even with the Warn hub kit I put on because I can't afford the Detroit.

Im confused.. what are you disagreeing with? The fact that I said my lockright hasnt failed me yet, and yours apperantly has, since you can't tell its there with the hubs locked?????

If your going to do it, do it right the fist time! I love my ARB i have it off most of the trail until i need it for that brief sec and then turn it right off. Plus you now have a air compressor on board. Have you thought about an OX?

Did you call OX? Seems like they would warranty it. I would think the OX is stronger than a lockright.

I was disagreeing with the fact that it would be a bad combo for the street. With my front hubs locked in on the street and in 2wd it is invisible. When 4wheeling, I definitely know it is there.

However, now that I think about it, it would do weird things if he has full time 4wd.
