I have XP and have turned off the messanger thing I found when I searched. It is pissing me off so please help. Toddy Nobody 06-13-2003, 02:09 PM fire wall synds9 06-13-2003, 02:10 PM go to your program folder.. my computer your harddrive.. then program files.. find the folder named messenger.. then righ tclick it and name the folder messengerOFF and then click okay.. if it says you can't you have to close messenger first.. it's in that system tray on the bottom right.. just righ tclick and close whatever yuo're not using.. then go rename the folder and it'll never happen again Drunk tank 06-13-2003, 02:18 PM I've been having those damn things popin up this whole week. I tried to rename it but it wont let me and it is closed. I will try the other things Thanks Toddy 76lcforty 06-13-2003, 03:16 PM That happens to me with things like kazzaa and limewire. you will notice it puts a little icon down by your clock when it is open, if you right click and dissconnect it should stop. kazzaa has been the worst on mine...
