Ok so laugh at me for not doing my axle right the first time, :D but I bought a Currie HP 9 for the front of my ZJ. It used my old knuckle (inner?? I don't know the part not pressed on the housing) With a reinforced knuckle pressed on the housing (outer??) with the warn manual hub kit, for a D30 CJ rotors, since I went 5 on 5.5".
Now I want High steer, can I just get the flat top knuckles from a D44 or will I need new hubs? also the part (inner/outer?) pressed on the housing is still used right? I don't want to have to replace to much on a new axle.
I am looking a Avalanche arms that use the TRE's since this is also my daily driver, can some one tell me how much backspacing the wheels can have before they get in the way of the arms?
TIA

I was told that the D44 nuckles fit the CJ D30. The other part about the spindles is yes also. The D30 uses 6 bolt mount also. If you want to loose the CJ hub you can go with a chevy 1/2 ton spindle and all the rest Ford outers to keep the 5 on 5.5. That will give you the internal splined hubs for more strenght.

I know a guy that just started making TJ arms that fit coil styled Dana 30 fronts. Call Dave at XTV engineering (205) 251-5318. tell him Tony told you about them. :D

What are you using for brakes? If they're the CJ two bolt style that bolt on to the outer knuckle then you will have to redo your brakes with GM style caliper brackets. If you already have the GM style brackets, then you should be able to just replace the CJ outer knuckles with flat top outer knuckles.

No it won't work.
The XJ/TJ/ZJ/YJ/MJ inner knuckles (part welded on axle) hold the ball joint wheras the CJ/Scout and D44 outer knuckles hold the ball joint. Plus the dimensions are different.

Thanks for the replies, So if I understand I can't just go get the outer flat top knuckles off of a chevy or early waggy put the high steer arms on and bolt it all up?
Guess I will just do cross over. MORE makes brackets for the YJ that should work.

You really should check out the high steer setup from XTV Engineering. It will give you the high steer just like the flat top knuckles and you should be able to use all of the outer parts that you currently have. I saw this setup on a TJ at XTV's shop and it looked impressive. Call Dave and at least check it out.
