: 95 disco "service engine"
aaron t 06-15-2003, 09:49 AM :( have a 95 disco, how do i get engine codes with non obdII system? or whatever a 95 disco is?
the "service engine" light is on, i however notice nothing wrong with the rig, it runs as well as ever
any help is apreciated.
btw, i have not disconnected the bat yet to just reset the puter, as i do not have the radio code for the antitheft system:D
you may fire when ready.
Serious One 06-15-2003, 10:26 AM 1. Find out what your truck is!
2. SEARCH!
3. Come back with tail tucked behind legs (we just talked about this last week).
:flipoff2:
PTSchram 06-16-2003, 06:17 AM Let me guess, your truck probably has around 52K, 108K, or 155K miles on it, right?
DO NOT DISCONNECT THE BATTERy TO CLEAR CODES, IT MAY MAKE MATTERS WORSE!

umm yeah apparently you did not notice the part of my post that mentions "95 disco", thats ok tho, btw, i did search hear and on disco web
not to your credit i found the info on discoweb, i need to reset the little red box inside the pass kick panel (its gay emissions crap)
:p
thanks at least for the last post :D
Serious One 06-16-2003, 09:12 AM when I said find out what your truck is I meant you need to figure out if it has OBDII or not.
That's all.
Glad D-web can help out.
aaron t 06-17-2003, 08:44 AM serious,
yes i am a little helpless some times, more of a toyota guy and they are the oposite of british cars, toys fix themselves almost:D
discoweb is gay there is no getting around it, i am a newbie to the rover world. most of you guys here on por seem to do more with the series rovers or rrc's not discos for what i am finding out are obvious reasons.
what i have found out on my own:
95 and older, obd I
in the disco the read out for the "check engine" light is under the pass seat.
for the "service engine" light (diferent animal altogether) the emissions reminder box is under the seat as well not in the kick panel. you just have to short out the two little terminals with the car on thru the little hole in the top of the box.
and yes i just rolled over 105k, i hope this post will help the next guy.
i deserved the flaming i got here...give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime;)
PTSchram 06-17-2003, 08:53 AM Aaron:
You think that was flaming? Just wait!:flipoff2:
Stick around, some of us admit to owning Discos and many of us are too stupid to not own more than one Rover product. One more and I'll have one of each major variant!:flipoff2: :flipoff2:
FWIW-I really would have helped you out if you'd taken the bait!
As for Discoweb, it serves a purpose and helped me out immeasurably-I wouldn't have known about the Pirates without cross board feuding! I still spend too much time there, trying to help folks out.
You all can blame Slade for that one:flipoff2:
Peace,
Paul
aaron t 06-17-2003, 09:07 AM as for the disco and the nude fotos of me, well i was young and i needed the money....:D
i owned an mg in high school, it was a chick magnet, but every third time driving it, i was fixing it:rolleyes: you would think i would have learned then, but i just had to get a rover and i just want more:confused: what is wrong with us
