...the bearing at the end of the steering column? It's the one that is on the engine side of the firewall, just above the splined part where the intermediate shaft connects. It's called the lower steering column bearing, or something of that sort. NAPA didn't know, they need a number.

I hate to pull the damn thing apart to find that I can't get the part in a timely manner.

Anyone have a reference number or maybe even dimensions of the bearing?

no idea on the part # or dimension, but i see those steering column rebuild kits on e-bay all the time
