I am looking for some "hoseable" seats to put in my 94 toyota. I ordered one of the new style summit plastic racing seats and a cover. I have never used one but I decided to try it. They are backordered right now. Are these seats comfortable? I am not going to be taking long trips, just wheeling. I've heard they're narrow and I eat a lot of cheesy poofs and am fat (6', 205lbs) so maybe I should consider something else? I need something hoseable because I scare the shit out of myself a lot when I go wheeling. Literally. ;) :D What will my fat ass be comfortable in?????

i like mine but i'm not near as close to being a fat ass as you:flipoff2: just kidding but i'm 190 and i like them. the key to having them is to drill a few small holes in the seat bottom and a few more out of the back of the under neath the seat at the lowest point from when they are mounted. this will allow the water to drain out of them. the covers need a couple of holes too. otherwise you could raise catfish in them.:D
Seems like these plastic seats either fit you - or they don't.
The people who they fit will sweat they are the most comfortable thing on earth. but if they do;t fit your posterior, then you are in for some very unfomfortable wheeling....
Also, be sure you have enough room to angle them back a little - this also makes a diference in how they sit...

The only thing wrong with bucket seats is, everybody has a different size 'bucket'. :p I bought a set of those things and they killed my ass after riding in em for an hour or two. One trip and I couldn't get em out of the rig fast enough. I weighed about 210 then at 5'10"... Know anybody that has a set?? Ride along sometime and see how they fit you. :D

I have those seats. I'm 6'6" 260 lbs. I think they are good seats. Not the most comfortable I've sat in, but not the worst either. They hold you in place very well.
My girlfriend complained that they hurt her back, so I put a layer of bubble wrap underneath the cover on her seat and she said it was much better.

I am 6'-0" 205lbs and I just now found out I am a fat a$$ Thanks!
I have had those seats in buggys before and hate them. Why do you want hoseable seats? Do you flood out alot or just like hoseing out your rig and don"t want the hassel of pulling seats?
What I now run in the rail are Baja SS seats from www.corbeau.com and they have tube frames and cloth covers and canvise straps for suspention and they are great! Two pins and they come right out, they have harness holes for all belts. Our rails are full baja style V'8 and we drive hard and the seats are great. The cost is around $150 each.

yeah if it never rains where you are then you can get by without the plastic ones. if it does rain then that means mud and if you are like me then you dont' run a top so mud+no top=muddy seats. the hoseable feature sure is nice then.:D

I sat in one a while ago and they were ok but they were nothing fantastic. I think the added cussion would be a good idea they can get a little hard at times.
