Ive never rebuilt one yet, but it looks pretty basic. So I guess my first stop is finding seals and gaskets. I usely buy my stuff from Randys R &P but want to explore all my options.

Save your money, and just buy a good used one.

I have alot of used case laying around. The reason I want to go into the case is to gain the knowledge of taking it apart and putting it back together plus it needs seals anyways. Its the only thing left on the truck that I havent gone through

If you're gonna put 4.7's in it, then another option is to
buy one from Marlin, already re-built. Let his shop do
the work. The gears and re-built kit will put the cost
pretty close to that, anyway.
Thats what I did 7 years ago. No problems with it since.

Well Shit when you put in 4.7's you damn near rebuild the whole front hi/low box. Just make sure the 4wd components in the rear of the case are in good shape. You get alot of bearings when you put in the 4.7's.
