Yep it's my dumb question of the week.

Are all 8 lug wheels the same pattern? If not what and how do you differentiate.

yes all 8-lug patterns are the same but.. dodge uses a larger center hole than ford or chev. you can use dodge chev or ford rims on a ford or chev, however only dodge rims will fit a dodge.

Don't the newer Super Duty Fords use a different pattern that earlier 8 lugs...a metric pattern?

Ding ding, we have a winner. The '99 & up Ford "SuperDuty" trucks have an 8 on 170mm pattern as opposed to the old 8 on 6.5" pattern used previously (and still used by GM & Dodge). Late GM trucks also require "hub centric" wheels, though the lug pattern is the same as before.

however, don't load the axle heavy setup like this, it will break the lugs.
