last time I talked with a budie of mine he had this old 1961 B170 flat deck for sale for $800.00 cdn running condition 345 4 speed 2 spped rear axel just wondering on your opinions

the 345 would be pretty anemic, but thats what a DT466 is for! :D

Bah! My tired 345 isn't that anemic pulling my junk around.. OK, 14,000lbs at 10,000+ft it starts to feel a little weak.. but those are some long steep grades to pull!

I think the 2spd rear end would make a big difference. I hate the hole between 3rd and 4th.

You'll want a diesel in there eventually, chief, but it's a hell of a start. Much better than the "ultimate" rigs some poeple build :barf:

:rolleyes: i know, if your going to take pics of your truck one could at least brush off the snow so you have somthing to look at.


up-date well he sold ot to a guy for $500.00 a few monts back but the guy has yet to pick it up. but my bude has a neighbour with a few 1700 modle flat decks that hes selling cheap. So will see where this goes :( :rolleyes:
