My mom is gonna trade her 02 Deville in on a CTS :grinpimp:
She asked me a question I couldn't answer.
How do they update the maps in the GPS? Do they send you a disc to load in or what?

It's self-learning.
In order to update a map, just drive the new roads, and it'll remember them. But you have to drive ALL of them. So plan on driving 200 to 300 hours per year to update the GPS. If you don't, the warranty expires, and the GPS drains its excess latitude closure error into the fuel injection system, and blows up the engine.
Want some more bullshit?

Yes, it is, but I have never heard anyone mention updates that can be purchased. I think I will pass along Bob's suggestion and tell her I will take care of it for her.:D
