Ok well marks power steering pump decided it was going to grenade yesterday. first the seals went and blew fluid all over his engine compartment then the whole thing decided to come apart while he was trying to get it back to my place to fix it. the shaft inside the pump came out the belt fell off and luckly the pully and the shaft ended up wedged themselves at the bottom of the fan shroud. we swapped the pump with one i had on the shelf from when i changed over to an agr.

NOW for the problem. oh its a 97tj 4.0

cant get the air outa the f'n system. i think the o ring is shot for the resivoir because if you seal it and run the engine under preasure it will leak.

WHAT THE HELL DO WE DO!!!!

is there something im missing. we were up till 4 this mornin workin on it and its gettin old!!!

If you are continuing to get air bubble in the fluid, it is an O ring leak somewhere in one of the lines. Even the low pressure side can cause air bubbles if there is a bad O ring at the box. The easiest solution, would be to get a pump for an early 80s GMC 1 ton diesel, with hydro boost. Napa sells them with the reservoir installed, for about $70. It will come with an extra low pressure line on the reservoir, that would normaly run to the hydro boost, that line can just be T'd into the low pressure return line. It will be a bolt on swap, and he will have the same pressure and volume that your AGR delivers. Run the low pressure line through a tranny cooler, for rock solid set up, that you will never have to listen to, screaming for mercy on the trail.
