This is for anyone who has stuffed their t-case up flush to the frame in a Jeep TJ? I'm not talkin' just a 2" belly-up skid plate. I'm talkin' bolting some 1/4" steel to the frame and pushing her ALL the way up - No drop.

I wanted to know if you ran into any unexpected problems? (other than the expected drive shaft angle issues.) I have a 2" body lift and front/rear high pinions so as far as I can tell... she'll fit.

I did a search and got some of the general info. Any thing else I need to know?

The help is appreciated. T

t bone, How much lift are you expecting to have.

RE 6" springs w/one inch spacer front
RE6" springs no spacer rear
1" body and I have a High pinion rear
Of course I have the TERA bellyup. I know thats not what you asked for.
But even with a CV drive shaft rear, I had to rotate the REAR High pinion to 18Deg. Up.

Note I dont have any driveline vibs at all.

the only thing I noticed was that I had to have atleast a one inch body lift. Since you already have a 2 your fine. Just do it!
I figure the slight drop I have with the bellyup kit. you will need that little bit extra with body lift to fit everything.
Dont forget you will have to lift the engine and the rad. too. MUST LIFT ENGINE AND RAD!
At least one inch to do what you want.

I have a 4" lift kit with 1.75" coil spacers and I plan on keeping it. So far i has worked out really well for me.

I was thinking I would have to get a CV driveshaft when I do this, but I didn't think about raising the motor and radiator. Thanx for the tip.

Depending on your rear axle, you'll also need some sort of shock relocators (if you don't have 'em already). I'm just running with the Tera Belly-up and have a Dana 44. You've gotta tilt that pinion waaaayyy up there to dial out all the vibes. But, it's worth the clearance.

Depending on your control arms/axle combo you may also need some extra length in the control arms (i.e. adjustable). Mine that came with my RE kit are maxed out (top and bottom) for adjustment. But, then again, if you're running with a high pinion, you may be ok.

OK, Let's see....

1.Skid Plate
2.CV Drive shaft
3.Motor/Radiator Mounts
4.Shock Relocators (These I want to move anyways)
5.Adjustable Control Arms

$$$$$ This could get HUGE! $$$$$

I was checking out that BayouGeep Skid plate. 1/4" steel plat and it's only a 3/4" drop. Very Stout! Hmmmm -I think I need to find me some more money.

Hey guys one of my freinds has made a totally flat belly up skid on his TJ.
His name is Sheldon.
Send him an e-mail at: scgard@triad.rr.com and I am sure he can send you some pics.
I think he might start making them.
Just send him an e-mail and ask.
