Congrats, Chevy guys! In the World Mega-Championship for Junkyard Wars. In case you didn't tune in, the U.S. team built a Chevy pickup-based cab truck that had to run 3 courses, a salt flat speed run, a rock trail, and a water course. If the US/Chevy team had been able to air their tires back up, they probably would have won all 3 races!:D

Air in the tires had nothing to do with their comming in second on the water course. lack of cooling fan caused their motor to over heat and stall. But as the good Chevy it is it fired up after cooling off to get accross the finish line. If they had it sitting lower in the water the radiator would have been cooled by the water but it would have been even more of a pain in the butt to paddle.

They were running what - 38" 'Hawgs? If they could have re-inflated the tires, perhaps it would have sit higher in the water = easier to paddle = faster in the water = finishing better.

That was an awesome show!!!I recorded it an just finished watching it again with the kids(2 boys 6 and 9 who love trucks)I don't know why they took the fan off the motor.I was thinking they should have pulled the lower radiator hose off the radiator and sucked water from the lake.Don't know if they had antifreeze in it or not though.Just glad to see the americans pull it off though.:usa: Blazin:rasta:

I agree, that show is bad! Just think what you could do if you had access to free parts in a junkyard, and all the tools you would ever need......... :skull:
