: Rotors & Caliper Rebuild Kit??

I have a 76 dana 44 with discs. The rotors I just took off seem to be fairly good, should I just get them turned or buy new ones? My disc calipers look like they are in desperate need of a rebuild. The dust boot of the cylinder in the passenger side caliper is torn and it looks like it's been that way for a while. Do I need a rebuild kit? How much am I looking at spending with all this? I will also need some good brake shoes, particular brands anyone recommend? I am doing all the work myself, and I want to do it right the first time. TIA to all who reply!

My two bits:
Get the rotors turned, buy some rebuilt calipers (they're cheap), and pick up some regular house-brand semi-metallic pads and you'll be good to go.

I'd also suggest picking up some high-temperature brake grease (comes in squeeze-tubes) and putting a little on the calipers where they touch the mounting brackets, and on the caliper bolts where they go through the caliper.
