I found a small footnote in a book that listed a very limited production of 1994-1995 IHC pick ups with some odd name like "Avante Sport". Has any body ever seen one, own one, know anything about these?

There was very briefly plans for a medium duty pickup style "delivery" truck, I think. Thing was still enormous. Not like a regular pickup at all. Don't know if it ever went into production.

Yes, they did make 'em, though as it was said, it was still more of a Medium duty with a box. ;)

4200(or LP) w/ VT365,5-6 speed manual or 4-5 speed auto, 140" wheelbase, your choice of standard, extended or Travelette cab, Hydro brakes and or 19.5 wheels sure sounds like a pickup to me. Just needs a flatbed/utility box/Superduty Dually box.

Probably cheaper than a comparable SD, and minimum GVWR of 21,500lbs.
