I must of drove right past you guys in one of the washes on friday. I was in a group of two rangers and an explorer. We were watching the red landcrusier clib a hill out of the wash and gave it 5 or so tries till he finly made it. How did you like the wind out there. I left friday so I didn't hit the wind.

Yeah the wind was alittle harsh Saturday. We left Sunday morning. It was smooth sailing all the way.

I know that spot. That was my trail control point at last March's
Safari. We call it "Black Canyon". :D:D:D:D

We were disappointed... the dry waterfall that was just ahead of that photo was WAY to easy this year...

Yup, it was easy. Did you look at the second canyon to the
north? The entrance to that one was tougher. We used it as
a "Blue" route.

We found lots of cool stuff :D We headed west and got into some cool areas that had awesome climbs and decents all around. Lots of articulation testing for my rig and three wheeling for the other guys!

Hey great pics explorer.:)
I did see you guys there but it was around camp. I remember the orange truck. Some of our best wheeling was on night runs.
But Friday night I forgot to take the camera. We were doing stuff that seemed easy that night, but the next morning it looked quite different.

Looks a lot like Afghanistan out there... caves and all!

Truck Haven is adjacent to Salton City, California. Right next to the Salton Sea.

From fresno I am guessing about 7-8 hours each way. That is counting a few fuel and food stops in my non speed mashine truck. So add your time onto that.

Well... it is dented, but I don't think it will ever be ready to drive on it's side through the gullies, at least not on purpose ;)
