Howdy all! I will be camping at Sly Park off Hwy 50 east of Placerville for the holiday weekend and was planning on trying some wheeling along the emigrant trail, which I guess is only 5 miles past the park. I have never been up this trail but wanted to invite anyone who might be in the area to come along for the ride. Probably go on saturday but that is up in the air. Depends on if I end up going solo. Come on out so we can pull each other out!

You do realize that this is a paved road? There are plenty of logging roads to goof around on off of it, but you would do better to drive the hour to loon and enjoy some actual rocks.

OOOOOh the pain, accused of owning a SUV. I suppose if you had read my footer you would realize I do actually own a truck, albeit not very modified yet. I was under the impression that this was a dirt road, from the stories of snow runs this past winter. Not much fun wheelin on the pavement:flipoff2:

There are plenty of dirt roads to go on when you get on Mormon Immigrant Trail just make sure you stay on the roads.
