Yeah, Alcan spring will make any lift you want. I guess yo could try National Spring as well.

nobody makes one for any IH full size, unless you go custom springs.

What year travelall? Depending on the year, you can use chebby springs up front with a few minor mods (couple of minutes with a grinder) and use blocks in the rear to make it match.

I knew chev springs worked in the rear but not the front. What era of chev springs would fit?

my IH is a 76 travel all
its got a 345 V8
D/60 rear
D/44 front

i forget what the tranny and xfer case are
i think the xfer case is an NP205

anyone know for sure

but it doesnt have the travelall body
its got a 59 Dodge D100 body on it with 38s

it has blocks on it now and i hate blocks
its seems dangerous to me and it looks like shit

i just got this thing fixed and im ready to do some romping in it
but it still has a few bugs that need to be tweaked

anyone know how to tighten the steering on one of these?
its got hydraulic assist, and the steering wheel can be moved about 3" to each side without affecting the wheels

He's just having fun like the rest of us. Pay it no mind...especially if you plan on posting here a bunch. :D

Don't know if it's an NP205 my '76 came with a D20. Is your's an auto or manual?

For the steering, check the rag joint in the column. Hell, check the entire thing down to the box to see if it's tight. Mine moved about 2" until I changed the joint out. If I had used the SEARCH button a bit more I might've found out about replacement joints...

Do you know about the Binder bulletin?

Hey Janoso, where you at in SJ? I grew up there in the Campbell area. Went to a couple high schools there and Santa Cruz... Glad I left though. Things are great here in Colorado. :D

I am in the Cupertino area mostly but also know Campbell well. I'm glad to hear you escaped Cali alive. I may be moving to So. Oregon in a year or so.

Spent a weekend in Portland a few years ago. Beautiful country out that way. Definately on my list of fishing trips.

July 2001 (I think it was July) I was in "Valley of The Rouge" campground with my family as we were looking for property in the area. I was watching after my 11 yr old neice as she swam in the Rouge River. To pass the time I was casting a small Repalla lure on my trout pole. To my total shock I hooked and landed (after a 10 minute fight) a 35+ Lb. 40" salmon. Needless to say I was "hooked" on the area right away. We were in the same campground again making an offer on the property that my parents bought on 9/11/01 and learned of the attack at 10am from some other campers.
