While on vacation in Disneyland for the last week, I managed to snap some pics of the rather beat up (but still cool lookin) FJ45 sitting near the Grizzly River Run loading area. It's on slide film, but once I can get access to a 35mm scanner, I'll post 'em. The bugger's got a repairable factory winch on it. I was SO tempted to sneak into the park and yank it after hours...

Also what was funny to note was that all the "Toyota" and "Land Cruiser" emblems were pulled off of it. I would guess because of Disney's corporate partnership with GM.

find an old chevy in a yard, and offer a trade for the FJ45 :D

Well I gawked at it quite a bit, and took a close look at the suspension and steering components, and it's pretty thrashed. Looks like the engine was yanked out and chucked, too (which I suppose would make sense since it's just sitting there for show). There's lots of paint blisters from rust underneath, and the axles have some thick flakes hanging off. If anything, the winch, bed, and body tub are probably savable, but I would say that's about it

I'd still take it off there hands!:D
