Anyone ever use a mini truck steering column with the P/S gear box for a FJ40 to mini P/S conversion?
Any reason not to?

I will be using an FJ60 column (which is nearly identical to an SR5 Mini) in my 45 Waggie. Looks like it will work just fine.

Depends on the year of your FJ40. My '71 had the older type steering gearbox, with the shaft integral to the box. You can cut off the shaft and weld up to the rag joint section of a mini-truck shaft using a sleeve (the shaft diameters are the same). But what I did was to swap in a '75 FJ40 steering wheel/column/shaft that bolts right up to the mini-truck gearbox. If you already have a later FJ40 your steering column/shaft will bolt right up.
