I want to convert my '76 FSJ Cherokee into a removable hardtop. I want the finished product to be similar to the older Bronco's. Or like a shell on a pickup truck with the finished lip. OR could I possibly cut the body and weld up a J-truck bed while keeping the body lines in tact? Any help is appreciated. Thanx, Tigger4X :jeep:

I hope your good with a welder, sheet metal and bondo. This is quite an undertaking. I'm not sure how well you will handle the windows and seals.

I intend to leave a c-shaped lip about 4 inches wide behind the windshield and at the top of the doors. Or maybe just make it a (removable/pop-up)sunroof over the front seats and then remove the rest. What would it take to make the sides like a truck bed? I will be putting in a full cage to the frame once the top is off so its easier to weld up. Any suggestions or other possibilities? Thanx all  Tigger4X :jeep:
