TTURokToy 11-26-2001, 07:57 PM While out at Gilmer, TX 2 weekends ago, I saw this cruiser out there. He passed by me earlier in the day and the thing looked to be in mint condition. While talking to some of the board members up at the front some people came up there and said a cruiser had rolled down one of the trails(shake, rattle, and roll). Here is what happened. The worst part about it is that his wife had told him not to be out there.

I thought there was a face crying, but I guess not. Damn, that sucks. I think dealing with his wife will be the least of his worries.

He just did his SOA (Jeff) and as you can see, it is a real tall truck.
He was climbing a hill and the rear axle broke and he went careening down and rolled a few times.
He just got a new body from another local club member and he is going to build it back up.
Just glad he is OK...:(
gunracer1 11-27-2001, 05:05 AM man that sucks looked like a real clean cruiser. any idea why the axle snapped, shack rattal and roll is a pretty mild trail. what could have caused the rear to snap like that. if i remember right its all dirt with some washes. no rock or anything to bind it up bad. just courious. mike

It sure was a cool cruiser. He was also with some friends of his in a big green cruiser with a 1/4 eliptic rear suspension and a really cool red cruiser with boggers. Here they are.

TON-Bobby 11-27-2001, 07:18 PM If there's any chance we could get any photos you guys have of BMRA....or these here on this thread, I'd really appreciate it if you would drop me an email.
If you know any of our guys, either on TON or in the TMTC, which you probably do, we would like to build a photo album of the BMRA runs everybody makes.
BTW - I'm the guy who designed the trail signs at BMRA....(except that upside down jeep...that was The Pagan...nice touch!)....I especially like the "Body Damage Possible" signs on the wench posts.
Ya'know, I think the diamond ratings are getting re-assigned too high....or maybe the fresh pilots are just getting in over their heads. We have an Rollover Instructor on staff with TON....all you need to do is ask at the office!
