I got a dumb question. I'm replacing the exhaust manifold gaskets on my 86 Burban (454). Does it matter which way they go on?? Does the shinny side go towards the engine block, or the exhaust manifolds??

Shiney side towards the head.:skull:

I put the shiney side towards the manifold and I put a very thin bead of Ultra Copper rtv around each port.
